Hugo Montenegro and his orchestra's 1968 RCA Victor release compiles orchestral pop arrangements of Ennio Morricone's iconic spaghetti western scores from Sergio Leone's Dollars Trilogy. Montenegro's lush, full-band interpretations of themes from "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly," "A Fistful of Dollars," and "For a Few Dollars More" bring a polished, mainstream orchestral treatment to Morricone's originals. The title track from "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" was a genuine hit for Montenegro, reaching number two on the Billboard Hot 100 that year.
