Johnny Rivers' 1975 album on Epic Records, *New Lovers And Old Friends* is a soft rock and pop effort from the Los Angeles-based singer and guitarist who had built his reputation throughout the 1960s with hits like "Secret Agent Man" and "Memphis." By this point in his career Rivers had moved toward a smoother, more polished sound, and this record reflects the mid-70s pop-rock sensibility of the era. It received modest attention but did not produce any major charting singles.
