Vangelis albums, such as Heaven And Hell, Opera Sauvage and See You Later. He even invited Vangelis to join his band 'Yes' when keyboard player Rick Wakeman left to pursue a solo career, but apparently after 10 days, Vangelis felt that it wasn't working and left. Then in 1981, they collaborated once again for their 'The Friends Of Mr. Cairo' album, peaking at number 6 in the UK charts. The single 'The Friends Of Mr. Cairo' also had a music video, starring both Jon and Vangelis in a 1920's, noir, gangster-type movie. After the album was released, they were asked by Polydor to make a 'hit single' so they both recorded 'I'll Find My Way Home' which got the duo a slot on the British TV programme 'Top Of The Pops'. Another version of 'The Friends Of Mr. Cairo' was released soon after with 'I'll Find My Way Home' added along with a different running order. Again, in 1983 they teamed up to record the album 'The Private Collection' containing the single 'He Is Sailing' which featured a none album track called 'Song Is'. This would be the last of the 'classic' Jon And Vangelis trilogy in 8 years, until 1991's Page Of Life album, in which they both reunited for the final time to record, featuring the single 'Wisdom Chain' containing a none album track called 'Sing With Your Eyes'. In 1986 they worked together to record an album, but it remained unreleased, some demos circulate the internet, but there has never been an official release. Jon Anderson and Vangelis no longer keep in contact with each other, due to a falling out over Jon remixing his own Page Of Life album, without Vangelis' approval. According to Jon, he tried to contact Vangelis in 2011 and did not receive a reply.
