Kenny Rogers' 1979 album "Kenny" was released on United Artists Records and stands as one of his most commercially successful records, sitting squarely in the country-pop crossover sound that defined his late-70s run. The album contains "She Believes in Me" and "You Decorated My Life," both of which became major hits and helped cement Rogers as one of country music's dominant figures of the era. Smooth, polished production with an accessible pop sensibility runs throughout, making it representative of the mainstream country direction Nashville was moving in at the time.
