Konk was a New York dance collective active in the early 1980s, blending funk, Latin percussion, and early electro into a distinctly downtown sound. "Your Life" came out in 1984 on Sleeping Bag Records and captures the group at the intersection of post-disco club music and emerging electronic production styles. The title track was a fixture in New York clubs and remains one of the more representative examples of the era's mutant funk scene.
