In 2012 Kyle Esplin was struck down by a viral respiratory infection which led to a long-term debilitating post-viral fatigue syndrome. From being a high-energy world travelling stage entertainer to becoming house-bound with no signs of progress or treatments available, Kyle turned to research. A visit to a clinic in Holland for treatment introduced Kyle to CBD and full spectrum oils. Since regaining health and functionality, Kyle returned to stage shows and has also been involved in the developing hemp and cannabis industry, from representing the Scottish Hemp Association to contributing to medical research. Driven by a desire to see whole plant therapeutics optimised and the preservation of endangered landrace cannabis varieties, Kyle has partnered with Pakistani based ethnobotanical researcher Landrace Warden to make such varieties available for collection and preservation. Kyle has a particular interest in the discussion around wellness and medical, including exploring other avenues of access for therapeutic consumers needs beyond the current medical framework.
