Léo Benoit was a Quebec folk and country singer active in the early 1960s, and this 1964 Canadian release on the Rusticana label collects more of his traditional French-Canadian troubadour material. The album sits in the chansonnier and folk country tradition popular in Quebec at the time, featuring the kind of rural storytelling and acoustic arrangements typical of the genre.
