Les Paul and Mary Ford's "Brazil" came out in 1967 on the Pickwick/33 label, a budget reissue collection drawing on the duo's earlier recordings. Les Paul was the pioneering guitarist and inventor whose multitrack recording innovations revolutionized popular music, and Mary Ford was his wife and vocal partner throughout their highly successful run in the 1950s. The set leans into Paul's signature overdubbed guitar work across a mix of pop standards, light jazz, and vocal numbers, with the title track "Brazil" serving as a representative example of their polished, studio-crafted sound.
