Lighthouse was a large Canadian ensemble known for blending rock, jazz, and orchestral arrangements, and Thoughts Of Movin' On was released in 1971 on the GRT label. The album sits comfortably in the progressive rock territory the band was exploring during this period, featuring their trademark brass-heavy sound and layered arrangements. Lighthouse had a broad lineup that allowed them to move between hard rock moments and more expansive, orchestrated passages within the same record.
