Hamp's Big Band is a 1959 big band jazz album from vibraphonist and bandleader Lionel Hampton, recorded with his full orchestra for the Audio Fidelity label. Hampton was one of the defining figures of swing-era jazz, credited with popularizing the vibraphone as a lead instrument, and by the late 1950s his sound had absorbed bop influences while retaining the high-energy swing feel his groups were known for. The album captures his orchestra in a lively, hard-swinging style typical of the period.
