Lobo's second studio album, released in 1972 on Big Tree Records, finds the Florida singer-songwriter Roland Kent Lavoie continuing in the same soft rock and easy listening pop vein as his debut. The album includes his hit single "I'd Love You to Want Me," which reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as "Don't Expect Me to Be Your Friend." The record showcases Lobo's gentle acoustic-based sound and melodic songwriting style that made him a recognizable presence on early 1970s AM radio.
