Lobo was an American singer-songwriter, born Roland Kent LaVoie, who found success in the early 1970s with a string of soft rock and pop singles. This Canadian pressing on Big Tree Records collects his best-known material, including the laid-back hits "Me and You and a Dog Named Boo" and "I'd Love You to Want Me," both of which charted well in the US and internationally. His sound sits comfortably in the easy-listening soft rock world of the early seventies, melodic and acoustic-leaning with a gentle pop sensibility.
