Los Indios Tabajaras were a Brazilian guitar duo, brothers Natalício and Antenor Lima, who recorded for RCA for several decades and became known internationally for their fingerpicked classical and popular guitar arrangements. This 1973 self-titled Canadian RCA Camden release collects some of their characteristic work, blending Latin folk melodies with light popular and easy listening sensibilities. The duo had a long-running hit with their instrumental version of "Maria Elena" and were known for a smooth, melodic playing style that drew from both traditional Brazilian music and broader pan-Latin influences.
