Los Indios Tabajaras were a Brazilian guitar duo, brothers Natalicio and Antenor Lima, who recorded extensively for RCA Victor from the 1950s through the 1970s, blending classical guitar technique with Latin and South American folk styles. This 1968 Canadian compilation pulls together highlights from their catalog, featuring their signature fingerpicked arrangements of traditional and popular Latin melodies. Their recording of "Maria Elena" was one of their best-known tracks, crossing over to mainstream pop audiences in the early 1960s.
