Super Session is a 1968 collaborative album from guitarist Mike Bloomfield, keyboardist Al Kooper, and guitarist Stephen Stills, released on Columbia. The record grew out of informal studio sessions and blends blues rock, jazz, and country-influenced rock, with Bloomfield handling one side and Stills stepping in on the other after Bloomfield departed mid-session. Kooper's organ work ties the album together throughout, and the extended take on "Albert's Shuffle" and a loose cover of "It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry" are among the standout moments.
