Mott The Hoople's fifth studio album "All The Young Dudes" was released in 1972 and marked the British rock band's commercial breakthrough with glam rock influences. Produced by David Bowie, who also wrote the anthemic title track "All The Young Dudes," the album helped save the band from breaking up and gave them their biggest hit. The record blends hard rock with glam sensibilities and also features the driving rocker "Sweet Jane," a cover of the Velvet Underground classic.
