New Riders of the Purple Sage were a California country rock band that grew out of the Grateful Dead orbit in the early 1970s, known for their laid-back blend of honky-tonk, folk, and rock. Feelin' All Right, released in 1980 on A&M Records, came late in their run and finds the band leaning into a polished, accessible country rock sound. It was a period when the group had seen several lineup changes from their classic early configuration.
