Nick Gilder's self-titled 1985 album on RCA Victor is a Canadian pop-rock release from the Vancouver-born singer best known for his 1978 hit "Hot Child in the City." By this point in his career, Gilder had moved firmly into the polished, synth-inflected rock sound that dominated mid-80s radio, and this record reflects that direction. It received little commercial traction compared to his earlier work.
