This Canadian A&M pressing of Nine Below Zero's debut "Don't Point Your Finger" captures one of the most authentic pub rock albums to emerge from the British scene at the dawn of the '80s. Formed in South London, Nine Below Zero were instrumental in keeping the blues-based pub rock flame alive when punk and new wave were dominating the airwaves. Led by Dennis Greaves' gritty vocals and harmonica work, the band delivered a raw, unpretentious sound that harked back to the glory days of Dr. Feelgood and Eddie and the Hot Rods, yet maintained their own distinctive edge.
