The Obernkirchen Children's Choir was a West German ensemble that gained international fame in the early 1950s, known for their pure, unaffected vocal sound. This Angel Records release collects traditional Christmas music performed by the choir, fitting into the classical choral and holiday category. The group became widely recognized after their recording of "The Happy Wanderer" became a hit, though this album focuses on seasonal repertoire rather than that signature tune.
