Paul Horn's *Inside* was recorded in 1968 within the Taj Mahal in Agra, India, featuring Horn on flute and piccolo improvising solo against the natural acoustics and reverb of the monument's interior. The result is a meditative, ambient recording that predates much of what would later be called new age music, though it sits at the intersection of jazz, world music, and free improvisation. Horn had been a well-regarded session musician and jazz flutist before this project, and *Inside* became his most recognized work.
