Paul McCartney's 1970 solo debut, recorded entirely at home with McCartney playing all the instruments himself, came out the same month as the Beatles' official breakup. The album is an intimate, lo-fi collection of acoustic and electric pop sketches, ranging from the gentle "Junk" to the playful instrumental "Momma Miss America," with "Maybe I'm Amazed" standing out as the record's most fully realized and well-known track. It's a deliberately modest, homemade-sounding record that reflected the informal circumstances of its creation.
