The record is an experimental electronic pop effort, quite different from his work with Wings, with McCartney playing most instruments himself and exploring synthesizer-driven textures and quirky songwriting. "Coming Up" was the album's biggest hit, reaching number one in the US, and "Waterfalls" also received notable attention.
