Hammer On A Drum is the second studio album from Vancouver new wave band Payola$, released in 1983 on A&M Records. The group, led by Paul Hyde and Bob Rock, built their sound around hook-driven rock with synth textures and sharp production typical of the early 80s new wave era. The album includes "Eyes of a Stranger," one of their better-known tracks and a staple of Canadian radio at the time.
