Phil Harris was an American entertainer, bandleader, and comedian who found success in radio, film, and recording from the 1930s onward. This 1958 RCA Camden release collects some of his novelty and good-time vocal numbers, leaning into the humorous, Southern-flavored style he was known for. The title track "That's What I Like About the South" was one of his signature songs, and the album fits comfortably in the jazz-adjacent, easy listening vocal territory popular in that era.
