Pink Floyd's 1983 album "The Final Cut" is largely considered Roger Waters' solo work in all but name, with Waters writing all the material and David Gilmour and Nick Mason playing supporting roles. A concept album dealing with post-Falklands War disillusionment and the legacy of World War II, it carries forward themes from "The Wall" in a darker, more stripped-down direction than earlier Floyd records.
