Wish You Were Here is Pink Floyd's ninth studio album, originally released in 1975 and one of the band's most celebrated records. A progressive rock album built around themes of absence, alienation, and a tribute to founding member Syd Barrett, it features extended, atmospheric compositions that blend acoustic and electric guitar work with synthesizers. The two-part suite "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" bookends the album, with "Have a Seat Wish You Were Here" serving as the emotional centerpiece.
