Powder Blues were a Vancouver-based blues and blues rock outfit who built a strong following on the Canadian west coast club circuit before landing a major label deal. Uncut, released in 1980 on RCA, is their debut full-length and captures the band's energetic modern electric blues sound with some funk and R&B influences woven in. The album produced the Canadian hit "Doin' It Right" and helped establish the group as one of the more notable blues acts to come out of Canada during that era.
