Procol Harum were a British rock band active primarily in the late 1960s and 1970s, known for blending rock with classical and blues influences. This Canadian A&M compilation collects highlights from their catalog, including their landmark 1967 single "A Whiter Shade of Pale," one of the best-selling singles in history, as well as "Conquistador." The band was led by vocalist and keyboardist Gary Brooker and featured the distinctive guitar work of Robin Trower during their classic period.
