Queen's sixth studio album, released in 1980, marked a notable shift toward a more polished, mainstream pop rock sound compared to their earlier hard rock and progressive work. The Game produced two number one singles in the US — "Crazy Little Thing Called Love," a rockabilly-influenced track, and "Another One Bites the Dust," a funk-driven bass-heavy groove. It was also the first Queen album to feature synthesizers, a move that signaled the direction the band would continue to pursue through the decade.
