Quicksilver Messenger Service's second album, released in 1969 on Capitol Records, is a live recording capturing the San Francisco band at the height of the late-60s psychedelic scene. The bulk of the record is devoted to an extended suite built around Bo Diddley's "Who Do You Love," stretching across most of the first side in a series of improvisational movements that showcase the twin guitar interplay of John Cipollina and Gary Duncan. The second side collects shorter live pieces including a cover of "Mona" and closes with the brief studio title track. It stands as one of the defining documents of the Bay Area acid rock sound.
