Rick Nelson In Concert is a 1970 live album recorded at the Troubadour in Los Angeles, capturing Nelson at a transitional point in his career as he moved toward country rock. The set draws heavily from his late 1960s work with the Stone Canyon Band, blending rock and country influences in a relaxed, informal setting. Nelson had been a teen pop idol in the late 1950s and early 1960s with hits like "Hello Mary Lou" and "Travelin' Man," and this record shows a noticeably different, more rootsy direction.
