Robbie Robertson is the 1987 self-titled solo debut from the former guitarist and primary songwriter of The Band. Released on Geffen Records, the album blends rock with elements of R&B, funk, and cinematic production, featuring contributions from Peter Gabriel, U2, and various New Orleans musicians. "Somewhere Down the Crazy River" became one of the album's best-known tracks, with its atmospheric, spoken-word style and swampy feel.
