Robin Hall and Jimmie MacGregor were a Scottish folk duo who became well known in the late 1950s and 1960s through their appearances on BBC television and radio. Glasgow Street Songs, released in 1970 on Hallmark Records, is a collection of traditional Scottish street songs and urban folk material rooted in Glasgow's working-class culture. The album draws on the kind of songs that would have been sung in tenement closes and playgrounds, reflecting everyday city life in Scotland.
