Rod Stewart's third solo album, released in 1971 on Mercury Records, is widely regarded as the peak of his early career. A loose, ragged mix of rock, blues, and folk influences, the record features Stewart's band along with contributions from Ronnie Wood and Maggie Bell. It produced the massive hit "Maggie May" as well as "Reason to Believe," a Tim Hardin cover that received significant airplay alongside it.
