Rod Stewart's fifth studio album, released in 1974 on Mercury Records, finds him working through a mix of original material and well-chosen covers spanning rock, blues, and soul. The record includes his take on classics like "Mine for Me" (co-written with Paul McCartney) and a version of Joni Mitchell's "Only a Boy," alongside originals that showcase the raspy blues-rock style he had been refining since his early Faces days.
