This Canadian stereo pressing (XCQC 16015) was released in 1980 and features material recorded between 1978 and 1979 at Compass Point Studios (Bahamas), Pathé Marconi Studios (Paris), and Electric Lady Studios (New York). Produced by The Glimmer Twins, the album reflects the band’s continued use of disco‑influenced rhythms and groove‑based arrangements following Some Girls. Engineer Chris Kimsey played a significant role in shaping the sound of the sessions. “Emotional Rescue” and “She’s So Cold” were issued as singles, and the album marked the Stones’ first release of the 1980s under their Rolling Stones Records imprint, distributed in Canada by WEA Music of Canada.
