The band was formed by Gary Rossington and Allen Collins following the breakup of Lynyrd Skynyrd after the 1977 plane crash, with Dale Krantz handling lead vocals. The album continues in a straightforward Southern rock vein, though with a somewhat more polished, radio-friendly sound compared to their debut.
