Savoy Brown's second album, released in 1968 on Parrot Records, finds the British blues rock outfit hitting their stride with a raw, electric sound rooted firmly in Chicago and Delta blues traditions. The band, led by guitarist Kim Simmonds, works through a mix of originals and covers that showcase their tight, no-frills approach to the genre. Tracks like "Train to Nowhere" and "Taste and Try Before You Buy" give a good sense of where they were at during this early period of the British blues revival.
