Savoy Brown's Lion's Share came out in 1972, the British blues rock band's ninth studio album and one of several they released during a particularly prolific stretch in the early seventies. The lineup at this point featured vocalist Kim Simmonds alongside a rotating cast that had become fairly standard for the group by then, and the record stays true to their gritty, road-worn blues rock sound. Tracks like "Shot in the Head" reflect the hard-driving style the band had been refining since the late sixties.
