Silly Wizard were a Scottish folk band who played traditional and original material rooted in Celtic music, and A Glint Of Silver was released in 1986 on Green Linnet. The album features the band's characteristic blend of lively jigs and reels alongside slower ballads, with Andy M. Stewart's vocals and Phil Cunningham's accordion work central to the sound. By this point in their career the band had developed a tight, polished approach to traditional Scottish folk that set them apart from many of their contemporaries.
