Simon & Garfunkel's 1968 studio album "Bookends" is a thematic record structured as a loose concept album about the arc of life, moving from youth to old age. The duo's signature blend of folk rock and orchestrated pop is on full display, with Paul Simon's songwriting supported by lush arrangements. Standout tracks include "Mrs. Robinson," which gained widespread attention from its use in the film "The Graduate," and "America," a reflective road-trip narrative that became one of the pair's most enduring songs.
