Simon & Garfunkel's *Sounds of Silence* is the duo's second studio album, released in 1966 on Columbia Records. It features Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel performing folk rock material, building on the quiet acoustic style of their debut while incorporating fuller electric arrangements. The title track, originally released as an acoustic recording on their first album, was overdubbed with electric guitar and drums and became a major hit, and the album also includes "I Am a Rock," another well-known single from the same period.
