Simply Red's debut album, released in 1985 on Elektra Records. The Manchester-based soul and pop group, fronted by Mick Hucknall's distinctive voice, blend blue-eyed soul with synth-pop and pop rock influences throughout the record. The album includes their well-known cover of the Valentine Brothers' "Money's Too Tight (To Mention)" and a successful take on Harold Melvin's "If You Don't Know Me by Now," both of which helped establish the band internationally.
