This one won’t be universally loved but it does strike a lot truth on how some manage their way through life. I think this one worked because of the casting and dialog… especially that of Douglas. He thinks his life may be ending so he abandons the normal expectations and takes up the art of teen girl seduction which normally doesn’t work out well for someone in their sixties with a married daughter, former wife, prospective new wife with a teen daughter. Things don’t go well and his life starts to unravel quickly and that’s the heart of the story. There’s a fair amount of humor but not much romance so it plays out like a rather long slice of life drama. Much better than what I expected and it was Douglas that brought the rating up a notch or two.
