Spinout, the movie, will appeal to two separate groups of individuals. Of course, the Elvis fans will hold the day as Elvis sings his heart out in what has to be a "must" for them but not necessarily one of his greatest movies. Rather low budget, I thought, when compared to, say, Blue Hawaii. But highly view-able just the same.
The second group it will appeal to is the motorsport, motor racing tifosi. The movie contains some excellent sequences of sports car racing in California in the fifties and the story is told against that background. Some (now) rare old cars of our high school years, take us on that nostalgia laden journey to the dawn of sports car racing.
