Aja is the sixth studio album from Steely Dan, the New York-based duo of Walter Becker and Donald Fagen, released in 1977. The record leans heavily into jazz-influenced rock, featuring elaborate studio arrangements, top-session musicianship, and the group's signature sophisticated chord progressions and sardonic lyricism. Standout tracks include "Deacon Blues," a melancholic slow-burner with a memorable saxophone solo, and "Peg," a polished pop-rock cut that received significant radio play. The album won the Grammy for Album of the Year in 1978.
