Tanya Tucker's *Dreamlovers*, released in 1980 on MCA Records, is a country album from the Texas-born singer who had already established herself as a major force in the genre through the 1970s. The record fits squarely within the polished country-pop sound that dominated Nashville at the turn of the decade. Tucker was in her early twenties at the time and had been recording since her breakthrough as a teenager with "Delta Dawn" and "Would You Lay With Me."
