Tears For Fears' second studio album, released in 1985, built on the synth-pop foundations of their debut and became one of the defining records of the mid-80s. The British duo of Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith delivered a polished blend of new wave, pop rock, and electronic production, yielding two massive singles in "Shout" and "Everybody Wants to Rule the World," as well as the slower, more introspective "Head Over Heels."
