Music From Big Pink is the 1968 debut album from The Band, the Canadian-American group that had previously served as Bob Dylan's backing band. Recorded in Woodstock, New York, the album blends rock, folk, country, and blues into a sound that stood apart from most of what was being released at the time. Standout tracks include "The Weight" and "Tears of Rage," the latter co-written with Dylan. The 1978 date on this copy reflects a reissue of the original Capitol Records release.
